The owners of longstanding Peacock Cafe in Georgetown opened a place in Dupont to pay tribute to their Persian heritage. Chef-owner Maziar Farivar is behind the pomegranate-glazed chicken with sour cherry rice, beef stew with sun-dried limes, and vegetarian stuffed grape leaves. Cocktails mix in common Middle Eastern spices like saffron, cardamom, cinnamon, and pomegranate, and the wine program pulls bottles from Lebanon, Israel, and Turkey.
